@peyo for emoji names, you might need mentioning via id, like @1 for you having spaces in the name does seem to make it a but kludge since it also sets off markdown itd need like a special instance where itd turn into a link or something instead of treated by markdown normally (if thats even possible)

Carrot: yes that sounds like a good workaround (the ideal version of course would be to have a list come up whenever you type @ but that is way beyond my capabilities)
