right now it's very rough around the edges but usable you can set it up in EDIT strip for a backdrop you need the id of another strip (you can get it from the url of your browser; this one uses [214](/strip/214) ) you can use absolutely anyones strip (which no doubt might lead to fights later) known bugs so far: the backdrop is not shown in completed strips thumbnail (update: fixed) please be aware that setting it to a backdrop that doesn't exist might lead to undefined behavior (there are several safeguards but with all these crazy browsers who knows what might happen)

also protip: you need to use the  to bomb the (BG) layer for the shared backdrop to be visible

(also once again who knows what might got broken in the way .. don't hesitate to report any strange things that might be bugs)

Oh that is astonishing! I can't wait to try that out! Thanks for implementing this and I hope it will be put to good use, that's a really powerful feature. The ability to draw the background from any source is quite amazing! That means if peeps wanted to do a series they could actually create some specific reuseable backgrounds for the project. I was also thinking the combo of strips and animations even makes it to where you could have comics with "cut-scenes" in them by doing animations as sequels and so on. Brilliant work I can't wait to try it!
