I had a pretty average childhood. I was born and raised right here in Shelton with my sister Clara. For many peaceful years, we lived in the same tree stump. Our dad was a hardworking stag, and our mom was a dedicated house-wife. I wish it could’a stayed like that forever…

But as you know well, that all changed one summer day. When he— the man who destroyed my life; arrived in the woods… he came without warning and none of us were prepared for what was about to happen.

At first our neighbors were disappearing, but then one night dad never came home from work. He had a tendency to stay late to work overtime, but we thought nothing of it at the time. It was close to midnight when mom woke me and Clara up in a panic. She told us to run out of the house as far as we could. I had never heard so much fear in her voice before.

As we ran out of the burning forest, that’s when I first saw him. He had shot our dad and captured mom. Clara and I laid low and watched as he loaded them into his Jeep and drive away. We were both too stunned to move or speak for fear he would do the same to us.

When we finally got a chance to catch our breaths, poor sweet Clara… she broke down. That selfish asshole took everything from us. 

Our parents, our neighbors, our home… all gone. Something inside me snapped. I was determined to get revenge. For all of us.

That damn hunter left his shit everywhere, but he left one valuable possession he would regret leaving behind. I knew what I had to do.

We followed the tire tracks to a camp, but mom and dad were nowhere to be found. Clara and I took the rope from the man’s clotheslines and quietly moved in to silence his mutt.

Together we tied her down so she wouldn’t blow our cover. We needed her alive to tell us where mom and dad were taken after I had evened our score with her master.

I had never felt so much adrenaline before… killing innocent lives for sport. Is that what it felt like for this motherfucker when he shot my dad? The thrill of the hunt. The smell of the freshly spilled blood… no I-

It couldn’t be the same. He killed the innocent, I killed the guilty. From then on that was my destiny. I became Lumber Jack.

Boy I must have been a sight… the only family she had, turned psychopath. I didn’t think about how it would affect her…Clara was so scared, she ran off screaming into the night. I haven’t seen her since…
