Sooo, basically, I was thinking about older internet drawing boards and how I used to have some fun on anonymous drawing boards and oekaki boards and the like. I sorta miss the atmosphere, but thought maybe we could do something like that here (if people actually want to) so this is basically just a drawing board! You can make arts and such, without stressing and ideally interact with other users and whatnot! If people end up liking this... Fantastic! If not.. Well that's good to know too! Anyways, feel free to arts here and have a great day ^^ And you're free to ask questions and whatnot!

Well, I believe the empty 'dead' feeling is more just a feeling than anything else. This site, even at it's least active has pretty much had daily drawings added. Currently, in the last four days we got 29 panels, so that honestly feels fairly active, to me at least! I personally believe truly collaborative art is a very niche idea, even Paneljam wasn't really ever that active! Honestly, my advice is to just draw on the site when you feel like it! Same thing with Panel Jam. Neither site seems very 'dead' so just have fun collaborating and don't overthink it.

`Peyo` Well, without getting to drawn out or preachy about it, I still totally love my deer self ^^ I just felt over time I've changed in the way I act to a point where I felt a bit disassociated with my previous self as a deer, as my perceptions of self had changed! It represented me as I had been before! Anyhow, because I wanted to be more active here, I figured I'd make the change here as well. That being said, if'n you wanna draw me in my previous fashion, I'm totally there ^^ (I'm always going to have a little deer in me!)

I'll admit, this site has a touch more appeal to me due to better features and better management, but hopefully the additional community can ignite that creative spark in more individuals, and perhaps create a larger interlinked community of comic artists!

`nooz` I'm only framing it a touch negatively since the site had glaring issues which he ignored. Of course you can have a life, and that makes a lot of sense. But the site didn't protect minors safely, was overrun by trolls, and still had significant bugs (jams that wouldn't end, drawing tools that would break, site lag etc.) I don't begrudge him for it, but the site was basically a train wreck and I think it was a responsible decision to shut it down due to his lack of adequate time. My hope is that with the return of the site he can put a bit more time into it and hopefully make the site a safe place to use ^^ But to clarify, I don't think he's awful as a person, just that the site wasn't handled adequately when it was up last time.

`nooz` That depends on his reason for the shutdown. Overall, he was not giving the site much attention. I mean, even before shutting it down he was basically absent for at least the couple years I was on. (Peyo, while busy, is quite easy to reach!) I'm not saying I didn't enjoy Panel Jam, and it's neat to hear it went back up too, but to be completely honest, the setup here is a bit... better? At least, I remember drawing on Panel Jam being sorta difficult.
