(only need to do this once as the current ones are the ones possibly clogging the change because they 'only expire in 1 year' )

- todo: load the old avatar for redraw profile (and so this way I don't need to add a warning about replacing the old one either)

good news that it sort of works .. one caveat:
you need to manually clear your cache (at least on firefox)
it's simple to do so it's just an inconvenience (but i'm not sure if everyone knows how)
2022-06-01 09:02:57
ok I added an experimental fix (seems only can test this on the live server)
last time all the avatars started to disappear
(don't be alarmed if they do the files are still there)
2022-06-01 08:04:49
yes and It's driving me crazy .. it doesn't happen on my local version so it's something with the server settings (as I pretty much set every caching variable for the client side I could)
I yet to figure out how to solve this

apparently after rolling my own css and color conversion now I have to make the bezier calculations myself as well..
html5 DIY
2022-06-01 06:24:14
.. and I couldn't help myself and turned it into an actual new brush
2022-06-01 05:38:42
ok I added a new tool (same as the normal brush but for this one I'm doing the bezier calc myself)

it's below the filled circle tool, please see if it makes any difference

ok this bothers me enough that I made a mini test site:
(all it does is draw a single blue quad curve with javascript)
and it's amazing: on my phone it seems it indeed looks as if it's made out of multiple straight lines O_o
(but so far I have found info if anyone else experienced this)

I know that javascript implementations differ between browsers but this is beyond crazy.. (speed shouldn't matter at all.. like it's all software rendering.. how on earth they even did it? O_o)

still needs some tweaking -- the preview panels turned out to be a bit.. small
2022-05-31 21:51:02
* add a 'go back to strip' button to the pass this strip page (low prio as the back button does the same)
2022-05-31 21:49:54
ok, strip preview is there .. time to move on to the next task..
2022-05-31 21:48:50
(also please remember: try to use this only as a last line of defense: if you leave your panels to be completed later someone else might claim it .. your half done image might be still there but only for further generations who browse the backup archives)
(they don't get deleted even after you finished with your drawing)

I developed a new state of the art update system
where I actually make a new folder/directory
for the new updates before just whopping them up to the server like I used to..
this way I won't be knocking out critical configs with the local testing configs
coding for the web is weird.. I got the feeling they didn't expect people to use the tech for enterprise sized projects: like a little site with drawings

testing archiving: one problem with the new fancy panel is that internet archive header completely overlaps it:
[https://web.archive.org/web/20220531185424/http://www.panelchutney.testhosting.hu/completed_panel/0](https://web.archive.org/web/20220531185424/http://www.panelchutney.testhosting.hu/completed_panel/0)

indeed and that is what I'm using to test .. but alas it's not 100% accurate: e.g. for my mobile it doesn't take into account the browsers address bar size .. so I have a lot less space to work with than it actually displays
(fortunately with this new anti-css method if a very exotic resolution comes up I can just add hack with unique positions for all the tools easily .. well easier than with css .. css is like building a ship in a bottle.. without knowing the trick for it)
yes, if you zoom in it also seem to change the resolution of the inner window so you might get to mobile level
2022-05-31 17:25:10
nope, it's something else, and was added very recently..
(and almost invisible)
2022-05-31 13:54:54
I should have made a better drawing for this..
anyway.. I wonder if anyone will guess what is it
2022-05-31 12:58:52
it's seems we had some 10 min server outage .. I had a small panic because I thought an update broke the page again
2022-05-31 11:35:43
- typing into the description textarea also activates the tool hotkeys
2022-05-31 10:23:29
that is good to know .. now that I think about it I more need to worry abbout 4k monitors .. I expect the canvas to be very tiny (zooming sort of works now though)
hmm.. all this fancy new tech confuses me
2022-05-31 10:21:54
- show somehow if the mouse is over a star or a like button
2022-05-31 08:49:01
shapes are not available on 📱yet (not sure where to put the buttons)
apologies to all 📱 users
(update: shapes are available on 📱 too)

strangely enough the iPhone 12 pro is listed in the chrome resolution emulator but for 390x844 .. i'm not sure what is going on .. does it look ok on it?
