my previous ideas were also: PanelScum™️
(and it was going to be pirate themed.. because of SCUMM™️ .. but i'm not sure how many get the reference)
and then was also PanelScram™️
but it sounded too much like scam

right now it's .hu because the hosting is in hungary (like yours truly) and all the free subdomains were .hu
.com is possible (along with many others) the only thing against it it's that it costs 2x more (like 11 usd .. a year! .. you think I'm made of 💵?!)
also the domain is only really needed because that is the only way to get https (and ddos protection but all that fancy stuff)

however indeed the canvas being on the left feels annoying .. maybe I should rethink this design (again)
perhaps some info like what you are drawing for could be only visible on a modal/popup .. hmm

similar test stressing to what Raz did
now that the undo/redo is in (Z Y) I thought I also test it
I had a theory that PJ got slow because as the image got more complicated the png it stores as undo took more and more time to compress .. but it seems it was something else
it can definetly take the abuse

ok turns out I cannot test the pressure support because Win7 doesn't send pressure info on browsers (but only browsers, pressure works fine in Krita .. I just don't get it .. what so special about a browser that makes supporting this impossible for it)

need a go up and go down button for completed (and underway) page on mobile
2022-05-29 03:32:57
tablet I have no idea: chrome doesn't recognise my pressure sensitivity and always get 0.50 (or 50%)
(might be something with my drivers thought)
let me know how it works on your end (tablet users)

Desktop users: please help with testing press Z and Y sometime and report back if its ok (there should be 16 levels)

Updated the drawing tools .. let's see if anone notices
(tablet support is still WIP)

absolutely, but it's on the bottom of the list right now
so my plan for now is to
- fix up the drawing tool (for now I want to add undo/redo, curves and of course to fix the tablet problems)
- then finish the completed and in-progress pages
- and then come the 'completed by user' 'worked on by user' 'liked by user pages'
- and at the very very bottom of the list make the site look good which involves finishing the form pages (e.g. login, make new panel etc. pages) which is surprisingly enough the hardest part for me (css is a hard beast to tame)
(and somewhere along the line I should also add editing comments)

and of course on firefox I have the cached and non-cached version of the image show up on the same fucking page (one in the header and one in the users)
2022-05-28 22:42:34
so the allegedly nuclear option for the meta tag that turns off all caching ever means that you still have to reload the page after changing the avatar..
(turns out 'no caching' means something very different from what you would first except)
so at least re-drawing avatars somewhat works now
2022-05-28 22:26:50
I had to go in the network tab and manually clear the fucking cache to get the image to update just wtf
2022-05-28 22:24:27
problem: avatars don't update after you redraw them (the stay in cache, the file changes but you'll never know)
browser refresh does nothing
opening a new tab: nothing
html meta config: did nothing, ignored by both chrome and firefox
htaccess: only resulted in avatars slowly disappearing (seemingly randomly) I quickly got rid of the htaccess file
adding date after the filename trick: server returns a 500 error
nuclear option is to rewrite everything and always check the sql for the new filename

new update -- it's a bit more condensed now
I moved the like button to the bottom
(I insist on having the creator and 'presents' on the top though)
2022-05-28 19:04:45
oh wait I thought you meant the comment title..
yes the strip titles should be condensed (and will be soon)
2022-05-28 19:02:36
ironically the icon is the easy part (hmm.. maybe only show the icon and date? and only show the name as a hint?)
ok that should be somewhat easy to do
2022-05-28 18:51:22
(so I'm on it but strangely enough it's one of the more difficult things to solve)
2022-05-28 18:48:56
hear hear .. easier said than done (whoever invented css/html really didn't want to have more than one thing in a single row)
2022-05-28 18:47:39
oh you noticed (still broken on mine .. turns out I need to manually trick the browser to refresh the cache when an image is updated and it's still not automated to this day) .. but I guess we need to redesign the NSFW logo anyway
yup, I simply forgot to do that (star number outline)
(despite that I even got the outlines work in the prototype)
so the completed panels section should look like the in-progress/underway section looks now? (it's underway btw because in-progress was kept breaking into two rows no matter what)
2022-05-28 18:26:12
keep the small thumbs for in-progress and just show more of them one one page? hmm
(I kind of like how there are two of them in a row on my phone.. but that is only my phone)
2022-05-28 18:23:50
please go ahead (that is what this thread is for)
2022-05-28 18:22:01
seems PJ also added smoothing for drawing lines somehow (which is also not present in the wacom demo unfortunately)
2022-05-28 18:20:09
and to think the whole point of chromium was to make all browsers work the same way when it comes to javascript (oops I mean html5)
2022-05-28 18:17:21
I'm not sure letting everyone on markdowns would be wise .. I mean look at you already redesigning the comment section with them :D
