`Symmetrical` My concern with it (heavy, ongoing) was addressed by having it disabled on my account. It's a time bomb for sure!

`Peyo` Speaking of which thanks again for adding the site's animation features they're great!
2023-12-19 11:27:57
`Peyo` you could have it where the more someone contributes the faster their icon swings so if someone contributes enough their icon go brrrrr
2023-12-19 11:27:00
`Peyo` Oh yeah that's even more neat! That pretty much draws the eye and marks the icon instantly. Also it's more whimsical and seems like something you normally wouldn't see on a page layout so that's good and differentiates the site.

`Peyo` That would be even more awesome actually! If you made their avatar highlighted somehow so it was obvious who submitted last that would be great, and even more obvious at a glance than having them ordered. In fact taking that a step further if the last 2 or 3 submitted could be marked in a way that told what order they submitted in that would be very useful. For example outlines in decreasing brightness, such as full white for the most recent submitter, a 33% gray for the second submitted, a 66% gray for the third.

`Peyo` Excellent!!! Looks great. This next part is a total extra but it's a suggestion if you ever wanted to add an extra cool "I can't believe it does that" sort of thing but if the contributors list would re-shuffle when someone submitted to put their icon at the front that would be awesome, and also useful, since it would let someone see at a glance who added last. However, that's definitely gilding of lilies.
Great work this shaped up wonderfully!

`Peyo` I'd say whichever way you like best! I don't think someone can ever really forget they own a strip and it should always be telling the creator anyway.
2023-12-18 19:33:32
`Peyo` Wait did you make a change to this strip so now it works the way where you can't draw unless it's passed?
For the strip creator I'm not sure it even matter it's more cosmetic, I didn't know if you'd seen that or not however and wanted to let you know. Everything still works fine!

`thirstys` Say u will use it! Gyehehe
`Peyo` Jblask and I have put our comic over to this new format and it seems to work.
2023-12-18 17:23:26
`Peyo` One thing I noticed is it doesn't list the strip creator on the team. Not that this is essential just that I thought I'd point it out. I also switched me and `jblask` comic over to the team mode and it only shows him for the team which is how I noticed.

I gave it a shot, it looks good so far but then nothing much has happened. I'll try it out for sure! Thanks for adding this Peyo!

The Cloud is just someone else's computer!

`Peyo` I meant in terms of usability! I don't think making this site hurt any other site, if either Panel Jam's founder or the founderof Drawception claimed this site had deteriorated their own I'd be like "Oh okay well finally you have an excuse."
It's all good, progress is great!
2023-12-17 18:52:37
`Peyo` Get some magnesium supplements! You'll be amazed. They're cheap too!
2023-12-17 18:50:37
`Peyo` I really can't remember anything you didn't add I think you put everything in! So if you make a panel about it I'll be able to see what was forgotten too.
Drawception I used to be very active on long ago then quit when the owner cut the value of donations we'd made in half (Basically you'd donate to the site and get credits, and suddenly he just cut the value of credits without warning, and I was like "Oh this guy's a jerk and will abandon the users." so got out of there) So anyway now, as predicted, he's abandoned the users for years and the site seems broken. I haven't done anything there since I found Panel Jam since Panel Jam completely annihilated Drawception for my purposes, but your site has annihilated Panel Jam so it's all good!

`Peyo` That's a pretty good idea in truth, eventually having a pretty splashy and informative "Features" page people can go to for a rundown of everything they can do would be a pretty good thing to add to the site. Just coming in people are probably going to think it's an exact copy of Drawception or another site so having a way to tell them everything they can do in one glance would be good.
2023-12-17 17:27:10
`Peyo` No actually everything's excellent I think you have made the site really feature rich! That's why I wanted to point out these ideas are more extra things that not only do I like, but that would hopefully draw people in so the site can attract new users. That's why I don't want it to come across like "OMG WE NEEEED THIS" it's more something that would be a really nice surprise for people who want to collaborate or do a "weekly comic" sort of thing with friends. Most sites tend to very tightly concentrate on a game mode, so the idea of a comic site like this being useful to creators is pretty novel!
The animation features you've put in are REMARKABLE in the scope of art sites, I have never seen anything like that and I wish there was some way to make it clearer to people they exist because I know most people don't expect it.
I think the best feature are the moderator tools! When I think of stuff that made other sites obnoxious to use, moderator tools would have solved it. They already solved a problem for me and I appreciate it! They would have really saved Panel Jam, not that it ended up mattering in the end.
So I think the site's great, there's really nothing as a comic creator or animator you'd want to do that it doesn't allow. And it doesn't stick you in a game mode! Thanks for all you've done, it's really great to have your site to post on. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be on any art sites at all!

`Peyo` Actually yes, `Aluminimalism` brought up to me you actually can cancel a pass if you're not the owner, which makes sense. Sorry about that! It would still cause a lot of complexity for 3 or more users however. The main concept I was focusing on was a way to make it so the people working on a strip don't have to ever pass or really worry about a time limit. Like I say it's not essential, but it definitely does make it more likely for people to share work since they get the dopamine hit of submitting after each panel. Which in turn puts something in the feed for others to look at and hopefully get inspired by so they'll feel inclined to make things too.
It may be too difficult, I don't know how the site works so couldn't say, and you'd have to be the judge of that! I think it would be a good feature to add if you're ever looking to add a feature.
I think the two main things that would make this idea work would be thus:
1. Make it so only people tagged by the strip owner can submit panels so there's no need to pass.
2. Actually there might not even be a number 2 since the rest could be set up under the strip's normal settings.
I like that idea of being able to re-order! Right now to re-order I've had to save existing panels, delete them, add the new panel, then re-upload the deleted panel.
2023-12-17 16:07:56
`Peyo` `Aluminimalism` Yes, exactly! Peyo the problem with passing is let's say I own the game and I do a panel, then pass it to `jblask`. If he makes a panel and passes it back to me, even with multidraw, it means if he thinks of another panel he wants to add he'd have to contact me and get me to un-pass it to get access again. And the more participants you have in a strip, the harder that gets to manage if it's a project where people need to be able to add new ideas freely.
And yes, for a comic you want to share with others as it goes hidden comics aren't suitable at all.

`Peyo` Here's an excellent request! Needless to say this is just a request for an extra feature, but I do think it's one people would like and would probably prompt more creativity. Also it's one that would help me and a friend out currently, not that I am asking you to rush it in or anything.
The idea would be to make a game mode or setting where a list of users have unlimited access to a strip in terms of practical moderating. For example right now `jblask` and I are doing a comic where we alternate panels, but because we have to pass and there's a timer, we end up having to babysit the strip and re-pass to keep the timer alive between panels. Also, if decided he wanted to do multiple panels after a pass, like if an idea hit a bit later, he'd have to contact me and get me to cancel the pass he made to me so he could then reclaim it to do a panel. You can imagine how with 3 people this would start to become a juggling act where the management of the strip would start to rival the time spent doing the art, and with 4 or 5 it would become nearly impossible without a constant group chat.
Enter: Collab mode.
This mode would allow a strip creator to just tag other users, giving them essentially unlimited access to a strip. The need for passing would be eliminated since everyone tagged for participation could just add a panel whenever they wanted. A pretty good thing and it would be inviting to people wanting to work on solidly defined concepts such as a traditional narrative. Also it would give people a way to create a "game" type strip with firmly established rules and include only those who knew the rules and played correctly. The tagged users for a collab strip could be included in the copied settings when someone copied the strip format so it would allow a game to be set up, people to be tagged in, then when it was over for the strip to be copied with the tagged list intact so the game could continue.

`Peyo` Also it still shows the NSFW blocker in Completed and Underway galleries as before even with Show NSFW turned on.
2023-12-11 09:35:15
`Peyo` One side note, if I have Show NSFW turned ON then "This Strip is Not Safe for Work!" shows up at the top of everything including this forum thread!
2023-12-11 02:01:00
`Peyo` Also I noticed when you go to an NSFW game the huge spacer doesn't exist anymore when this option is on, thanks for that too!
